Hey Kathi, How you doing. Don't know if you recall but we were deployed together in Ch-ch many moons ago. You might remember my friend Ram. You used to hang with Mercedes. Anyway just saw you on the site and thought I say hi. Hope all is well.
Kathi,
I responded to this once from my laptop but I think it deleted before it went out. Home with the flu right now. Really sucks. I think the place your competition was at is closer to Raleigh than here. My schedule has been messed up quite a bit so haven't been shooting in awhile. My AR is doing fine. I was really surprised with how nice a trigger it has right out of the box. I added a quad rail system but am thinking about taking it off as it really adds some weight. I don't remember if I told you but I met a guy in Columbus that was a Camp Perry Champion in 53 or 54 at a couple of long ranges. He was a civilian and he said it really irked the General that handed out the awards. When I find his card I'll send his name. Really interesting to talk to him. So what events do you shoot in? Always looking for pointers. Take care and keep in touch.
Well that's wife number two. Divorced the one you met about 10 years ago (definate upgrade) ;-) Gilbert is a suburb of Phoenix. Have you ever heard from Gabe at all? Last I heard he moved up to Washington, and I haven't heard anything since. My real email is ryan.henricks@correctionscorp.com email me sometime. Take care.
Very cool. Lincolnton is about an hour northwest of Charlotte. About 15 minutes due south of Hickory over in the west part of the state. I'm not sure where the places you go to are. What do you shoot in competition? I've been enjoying shooting and thought about looking at some of the practical shooting competitions if I can find them fairly close. That is awsome about winning the nationals. Maybe I can pick your brain some time. Take care,
Kathi,
You caught me unawares saying we should talk about the gun show I went to. Then I looked at your pictures. The Navy Marksmanship Unit? Wow, I'm not worthy. I've started shooting some. Got a Glock 19 and a Taurus 45 of my own. Just picked up an AR. I actually just got back from shooting them. Definitely look forward to talking to you about this stuff. Keep in touch,
Well I hope you get the promotion if that is what you want. I have to hit the rack, need my beauty sleep and getting up early to go to a gun show in the morning. Keep in touch. My real email is ldcline3@bellsouth.net. TTFN
Kathi,
Grown up, eh? That's your story and you're sticking to it? Moved to NC, about an hour northwest of Charlotte, about 4 1/2 years ago from Pensacola. I've been flying corporate jets for an outfit called Netjets. Think of time shares for jets. Been with them about 8 years now and probably another 5 before I can slow down. How about you?
Kathi,
Good to see a familiar face here, but seems like I remember you had lighter hair. I've got the video you're looking for but it seems like Joe Hollern might be the quickest source for you. I'm living in NC now. Let me know if you still have trouble getting the video, I've got both that were made while I was there. Take care,
